Usage Tips
To get the best experience from your CAVELOX™ Cuvera, use it with water only. We do not recommend acidic drinks such as soda, fruit juice, coffee, or carbonated beverages. For the best result, let the water rest in the bottle for a few hours before drinking.
Is Cuvera really made of copper?
Yes. CAVELOX™ Cuvera bottles are crafted with food-grade copper on both the inside and outside.
The interior may have a slightly different tone than the exterior because the inner surface is designed for direct contact with water and food-contact use. The traditional copper-water contact takes place inside the bottle.
However, this model is not made from solid copper. It uses a durable layered construction designed for strength, daily use, and long-lasting performance.

Is it safe to drink from a copper bottle every day?
For most people, yes. Drinking water from a copper vessel is a traditional practice that has been used for centuries in Ayurveda.
Copper is an essential trace mineral, and when water is stored in a copper bottle for a limited time, only a very small amount of copper may interact with the water.
We recommend starting with 2 to 3 glasses per day from your CAVELOX™ Cuvera bottle, ideally beginning with one glass in the morning.
If you are pregnant, have a medical condition, or have been advised to limit copper intake, please consult your healthcare professional before regular use.
Why does the water taste slightly different?
A light mineral taste is completely normal.
Copper naturally interacts with water, which may give it a slightly different flavor compared to water stored in plastic or stainless steel. This taste often becomes milder after a few days of use once the bottle has been properly rinsed and used regularly.
You can also rinse the bottle with lemon water at the beginning to help soften the taste.
How is the CAVELOX™ Cuvera bottle made?
Our bottles are produced in Asia by workshops specializing in copper craftsmanship, using techniques inspired by traditional Indian copperwork passed down through generations.
Copper has been used for centuries in Ayurvedic practices for storing water naturally.
Each Cuvera bottle is designed with a reinforced stainless steel structure, known for its strength, durability, and food-contact stability. This structural base is then combined with a food-grade copper finish applied to both the inside and outside of the bottle.
The inner surface, which comes into direct contact with water, is made for food-contact use. Because of this, the interior color may look slightly different from the exterior depending on the production process and finish used.
This construction creates a bottle that is stronger, more durable, and better suited for everyday use, while preserving the traditional copper-water contact through the copper-treated interior surface.
Every CAVELOX™ Cuvera bottle goes through strict quality control and food-contact safety testing.
Copper tones: what you should know
Copper naturally comes in different tones depending on the treatment, finish, and production process.
The exterior of our bottles has the beautiful reddish-brown tone commonly associated with copper. The interior may appear more golden or yellowish — this is completely normal.
This difference comes from the manufacturing process. The inner surface is designed for direct contact with water, which may require a slightly different finish than the exterior.
The result is a real copper-contact interior surface designed for everyday water use, with a naturally lighter tone.
How do I clean the bottle?
Cleaning is simple and natural.
Once a week, fill the bottle with a mixture of water and lemon juice, or water with a small spoon of sea salt. Let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with clean water.
Do not put the bottle in the dishwasher. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive sponges, or strong cleaning products.
It is normal for copper to develop a natural patina or slight oxidation over time. This does not affect the bottle’s normal everyday use.
Can I store lemon water or other drinks in it?
We recommend using Cuvera with plain water only.
Acidic drinks such as lemon juice, fruit juice, soda, carbonated drinks, coffee, tea, or hot beverages may accelerate copper oxidation and affect the taste.
For the best traditional copper-water experience, let filtered or tap water rest in the bottle for at least 6 to 8 hours, ideally overnight.
How long does water stay cold in the bottle?
The CAVELOX™ Cuvera bottle is not an insulated thermos bottle, so it is not designed to keep water cold or hot for long periods.
The water stays at room temperature.
Cuvera is designed to offer a cleaner, plastic-free hydration ritual with traditional copper-water contact — not to function as a temperature-control bottle.
For best use, prepare your water the night before and drink it within 24 hours.
What is the delivery time?
Your order is processed within 24–48 hours.
Delivery usually takes 12–15 days. You will receive an email with your tracking number once your order has been shipped.
Shipping is free on all orders, with no minimum purchase required.
Is the bottle leakproof?
The CAVELOX™ Cuvera bottle is designed with a secure, leak-resistant cap for everyday use.
It can be carried in a bag or backpack when properly closed. We recommend always tightening the cap correctly and avoiding leaving the bottle tilted for long periods when it is full.
What if I don’t like it?
Your satisfaction is our priority.
We offer a 14-day satisfaction guarantee from the day you receive your order. If you are not fully satisfied for any reason, contact us through our customer support email and we will help you with the return process.
Are your bottles tested for food-contact use?
Yes. CAVELOX™ Cuvera bottles are tested by an independent laboratory to help verify their suitability for materials intended to come into contact with food and water.
The testing process may include:
- Food-contact migration testing
- Heavy metal checks
- Material compliance testing
- Component safety reviews
The results are reviewed to confirm the bottle meets the required standards under tested laboratory conditions.
